‘Menopause and the Microbiome: Clinical Strategies for Restoring Digestive and Metabolic Health’

This session explores how declining sex hormones impact gut function and systemic health during menopause. We examine how hormonal shifts trigger bloating, altered motility, and compromised gut barrier integrity, and discuss how these changes can contribute to systemic inflammation, altered glucose and lipid metabolism, and metabolic dysregulation. Practical strategies to restore digestive tolerance, regularity, and metabolic resilience will be discussed.

We will highlight dietary fibre as a foundational intervention to support microbial diversity, short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) production, gut barrier integrity, and balanced oestrogen metabolism via the estrobolome. The role of partially hydrolysed guar gum (PHGG) and specific probiotic strains will also be covered to support digestive, inflammatory, and metabolic outcomes in peri- and postmenopausal women.

Key Learning Outcomes:
• Understand microbiome changes and their impact on menopausal health
• Explain the estrobolome’s role in hormone metabolism
• Apply dietary fibre and PHGG to improve gut function and SCFA production
• Implement practical strategies for common digestive complaints at menopause
• Use targeted probiotics and nutraceuticals to restore gut function and metabolic health

‘From Medication to Maintenance: A Nutritionist’s Guide to Sustaining Weight Loss Beyond GLP-1 Therapy’

The growing use of GLP-1 receptor agonists has transformed the weight management landscape, delivering clinically significant weight loss for many individuals. However, as these therapies become more widely used, nutrition practitioners are increasingly encountering new clinical challenges—particularly around long-term sustainability, nutritional adequacy, and supporting individuals as they reduce or discontinue medication.

Emerging evidence highlights that weight regain following cessation is common, driven by physiological adaptations including increased appetite signalling and reduced energy expenditure . This raises important questions about how nutritionists can effectively support clients during and beyond pharmacological intervention.

This webinar will explore the critical role of nutrition and lifestyle strategies in maintaining outcomes, with a focus on preserving lean mass, supporting metabolic health, and addressing appetite regulation through dietary approaches. It will also examine the evolving evidence around gut-mediated mechanisms, including incretin pathways and the microbiome, and consider how targeted, non-pharmaceutical interventions may complement clinical care in a practical setting.

Designed specifically for nutrition practitioners, this session will provide clinically relevant insights into supporting clients through the transition away from GLP-1 therapies. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to integrate evidence-informed, patient-centred strategies that promote sustainable, long-term weight management outcomes in everyday practice.

‘Mitochondria & Longevity: Unlocking the Cellular Key to Vitality and Healthspan’

This session examines the pivotal role of mitochondrial function in regulating biological aging and healthspan. Benjamin Brown will review the molecular and biochemical pathways through which mitochondrial dysfunction contributes to inflammation, metabolic decline, and cellular aging. This webinar will cover clinical tools for assessing mitochondrial health, including organic acid testing and oxidative stress markers, as well as evidence-based strategies to support mitochondrial biogenesis and function. Nutritional compounds, lifestyle interventions, and targeted therapeutics will be discussed within a precision medicine framework for longevity-focused care.

Learning objectives:

  • Review how the (dys)function of mitochondria relates to cellular and physiological health in the context of ageing.
  • Explore the strengths and limitations of assessments of mitochondrial in clinical practice.
  • Learn how certain dietary patterns and specific nutrients and phytonutrients can be used to optimise mitochondrial function.
  • Cover examples of lifestyle medicine-based interventions that have been shown to improve mitochondrial number and/ or function.
  • Examine how interventions can be personalised to the individual.

‘The Missing Link in Women’s Hormonal Health: Detoxification & Drainage’

When it comes to women’s hormonal health, much of the focus is placed on modulating oestrogen and progesterone, or supporting liver and gut pathways to improve hormone metabolism.

In seeking alternatives to HRT, we can sometimes end up offering a “green pharmacy” through layering supplements without addressing the deeper drivers of imbalance.

Symptoms such as PMS, painful or heavy periods, mood swings, perimenopausal shifts, and hormonal acne are rarely isolated hormone issues. More often, they are downstream expressions of adrenal stress patterns, histamine dysregulation, candida overgrowth, digestive dysfunction, impaired detoxification, and inflammatory load.

However, even when these areas are supported, many clients continue to experience persistent symptoms.

This is because the missing link is often the toxic load that drives hormonal disruption and whether the body’s drainage pathways are truly open to support effective elimination.

Our biology hasn’t changed…but our environment has. Clients are increasingly burdened by heavy metals, mycotoxins, candida, environmental chemicals, and microbial load, placing significant pressure on detoxification and elimination systems.

Many protocols rely heavily on nutraceuticals, which can provide symptomatic relief, but often fail to address the underlying issue of an overwhelmed system with impaired clearance.

With so many contributing factors, it can feel overwhelming to know what to prioritise.

This webinar introduces a more clinically effective root-cause framework, combining detoxification and drainage with often-overlooked tools accessible to nutritional therapistsincluding herbal medicine and naturopathic techniques.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Identify when symptoms are driven by toxic burden rather than hormone imbalance alone
  • Recognise when detox pathways are overloaded or blocked
  • Understand why drainage must be supported before detoxification
  • Use herbal medicine to open and regulate elimination pathways
  • Apply naturopathic tools to enhance lymphatic flow, pelvic decongestion, bile movement, and clearance
  • Build simple, well-sequenced protocols that improve tolerance and outcomes

Designed for practitioners, this session will give you practical tools beyond nutraceuticals, helping you work more effectively with complex hormonal cases and achieve more sustainable results.
